New Year= New Office Space

For a while now I've been itching to redo part of out living room into an office area. I don't want it to look like a desk was dropped in the space, but rather something different, pretty, functional and a good use of an L shaped corner. Here is the corner I'd like to redo.....

Here are some inspiration ideas.....

I love the long work space
Storage..also thinking bookshelves

The message board is a must

I need more ideas and suggestions.....pass along any ideas you may have.

Happy 2011!

Happy NewYear!

Can you believe we're a week into 2011? This year I'm really committed to get back to the things I enjoy:

1. more family time
2. peruse estate sales, auctions, tag sales...for my etsy site and home (I'll let you know what I find)
3. time with friends-there's never enough time
4. Read, Read and Read
5. travel (anywhere, it doesn't need to be far)
6. take a college class (a bit intimidating since it's been about a billion years)
7. run a half marathon-any advice?

Do you have any New Year's resolutions?

My parent's knew I was on the lookout for a vintage map for my children's playroom. They came across the best map and even better it was FREE! I love the colors and the sheer size. We put it up the other day and the girls are already using it in the playroom "aka classroom". It inspires me to get back out there looking for great finds.

the room doubles as a playroom and extra "chill-out" space for three growing girls.

every school room needs a chalkboard
(remember my love of chalkboard paint?)
